Today hit me harder than it has in the past 20 years. It could be the older we become, the more precious life becomes. We listened to the 9/11 Memorial Ceremony and I couldn’t hold back tears. Names of husbands, wives, daddies, uncles, moms, and friends. All who lost their life on 9/11.

My heart hurts for families who have been missing someone at their dinner table for the last 20 years. Please take time to listen to today’s Memorial Service. Listen to the lengthy list of names lost in the attack. Let your heart feel the weight and pain of loss. We can not afford to forget.

How do I cope with the injustice and evil of this world? Who will fight for righteousness? What should my response be as a Christian woman to what feels like a world spiraling out of control?

I've pondered these same thoughts. One day God quieted my restless soul with a few words... "You are not called to fight this battle. You are called to STAND." There is a difference between STANDING for truth and FIGHTING others in His Name. It's not easy and it does not always feel fair, but God's Word tells us in 2 Chronicles 20:15 that the battle is not ours, but the Lord's. Whoever you are, whatever it is you are wrestling with, hear this promise!
